Manage Fleet

What is a fleet

A fleet is a group of ships. If you have 10 systems, then you may have up to 10 fleets. One system can only have 1 fleet of ships. Every different fleet will have different stacks and amount of ships depending on how you arrange them. When you build ships you have to choose which system's fleet you want to build to. You also can move your desired amount of ships from one fleet to another.

Now, having stronger fleets at different systems will effect how well you defend that system or your success level on attacking and capturing planets for that system when you attack. Bear in mind that only the top six ranking of your fleet will go into battle while defending or attacking.

Stacking is very important, this is strategy you have to devise yourself or learn from more experienced players. Different fleets with different stacking (Ships type and amount put into order) will have different results in defending and attacking. It is wise to have stronger fleet in systems you want to attack with or defending your most valuable system.

Disband

Disbanding ships means demolishing your available ship. You can choose how many ships in which fleet to disband. You can use this to re-organize your fleet by disbanding unwanted ships. It doesn't use up turns to disband ships.

Try not to disband too many ships because ships are costly to build and disbanding ships is not always advisable. However, there are cases where you will need to disband ships because ships need upkeep or money to support. You'll have to pay for the upkeep of the ships every turn you use. Having more ships than you can afford will bring you into debt. That is a really bad situation that you don't want to get into. Do some calculations before you build or disband your ships.

Reverse engineer ship

Note: This is only available to certain alien races
When you successfully capture ships from a battle, the captured ships will be in your fleet. However you cannot build them later on. You'll need to reverse engineer the ships you have captured in order to build them. Remember, this effect is permanent, you can only reverse engineer a certain amount of ship types from each race. Therefore, we strongly suggest players to plan first which ships you would like to reverse engineer.

Outpost

You can station 2 stacks (different types of ships) in your `Outpost`. Ships stationed here will act as reinforcements if your Lord or any members of your Federation is under attack. This is restricted to:

4 stacks from Vassals
2 stacks from Federation members
stacks must not be bigger than 50% of your Pr

Move

You can move ships from one System to another, or to `Outpost`. Moving ships doesn't use up any turns.
