What is it ?
 
Like resources, minerals are specially used to construct ships.
Selling off unused minerals is also a way of getting more credits.
Some minerals available in the game are:-

Terran Metal
This is the basic form of metal for Teran species

Red Crystal
This is a type of crystal.

White Crystal
This is a type of crystal.

Rutile
This is a type of crystal.

Composite
This is a light weight metal composite.

Strafez Organism
This is an Organism used to build an Organic ship.

 
How to get minerals ?
 
You gain 1 mineral per turn for each planet you control. Each planet has its'
own special mineral. Each mining reseach point will increase the extration of
minerals by 10%. Building additional mining infrastructure does not increase
the extraction of minerals.
