Stephen: The key aspect for Stage 2 is... 1. Expand your empire 2. Defend it against intruders. Expanding your empire Exploration is an easy way to expand in the beginning. How to explore ? 1. First build about 80-160 scout ships in Build Ship. 2. Goto Explore, then send ships to explore. Step by Step guide 1. Ensure you have sufficient credit reservers 2. Watch your credits, make sure your credits don't reach 0 3. Explore for 3-5 planets 4. Stop exploring, disband your scouts 5. Build up your colonies 6. Build some defense (will be explain in the next chapter) 7. Rest for a while, to get back your credit reserves 8. Continue Step 1 to 7 again. Advice ? 1. You may lose your border colonies if you are under attack 2. Have 3-6 unwanted/undeveloped colonies in your border (as fodders/buffer) 3. Do not cluster if you do not have enough fodder colonies |
