ALIEN RACES
How to change race
All players will start off as the Terran race. Once any players have completed
certain requirements he/she may opt to play another alien race. Each alien race
have their own advantages and disadvantages.
Difference between alien races
Each alien race has a totally different playing style, concept, technology tree,
battle strategy and resource management. An example is the Terran's primary source
of income is Per Turn Income, while for Marauders it is Plundering colonies.
Therefore Terran may concentrate on colony management (especially the commercial
sector) while Marauders concentrate more on warfare and resource budgetting.
Resource budgetting is important for Marauders because they do not have a high
income and have to be careful not to go in to debt.

Terran
The Terran, or Human Race, is a simple and balanced race. They are also capitalist,
industrialist, explorers, warlike and a very curious race. This would allow the Terrans
to base their economy on any factors, such as commercial, industry, agriculture and of
course the general public pays taxes to the local government. Thanks to the curiosity of
the Terrans, they have explored and populated most parts of the galaxy, making it the
most common race to be found. However, due to their warlike manner, Terran colonies
are almost always fighting with one another. All players have to start off with the
Terrans race first and is required to finish some of the initial missions prior to
moving on to other races.

Aspha Miner
The Collective found the Aspha Miner Race, which specializes in mineral extraction and
large defensive weapons platforms (starbases). The Aspha Miners did not bow to the demands
of being assimilated by the Collective thus the Aspha-Collective war broke out. The war
was bloody lasting only a few months. The Collective tried attacking the Aspha Miners many
times, but every time, they failed badly against the Aspha Miners massive Starbases and
Defensive fleets. Both races suffered great amount of losses with some of their fleets
and colonies destroyed.
The Aspha Miners race originates from far away, the Orion Star System. They seem to be a
religious race with their original religious records dating back eons ago. Their race name
was derived from the Asphalt Mineral, which is found in abundance in the Orion Star System
and the fact that they are very skillful in mineral extractions, hence the word Miners.
The Aspha Miners are peaceful in nature and place more emphasis on defensive weapons platforms
or starbases, designing their fleet to be more defensive in nature.
This was to their advantage as the Collective race soon came to the Orion System, trying to
invade and assimilate their entire Empire. Although the war ended in a win for the Aspha Miners,
the Orion Star System was devastated from the War, and many colonies were totally destroyed.
Later the Collective and Aspha Miners worked out Non-Aggression Pact towards each other, though
some rogue groups of each race still attack each other as if the races were still in war.
The Aspha Miners eventually settled in many parts of the galaxy, soon becoming one of the
common races to be found.

Marauder
Eons ago the Guardian and Marauder Races were in constant war, which almost brought about the
total genocide of these two alien races. After hundreds of years of war, the Marauders were
winning the war by almost conquering the galaxy, leaving the Guardians to only a handful of
colonies. As the main Marauder fleet, together with Bastille (the center of command for the
Marauders) approach, the Guardian race, out of desperation, used an untested Kal-Zul artifact
(thought to be a mass destruction weapon of some kind) against the invaders. Upon activating
the alien artifact the entire solar system was overwhelmed with an unknown sub-space energy
burst. This resulted in the mutation of the Guardian race from an organic being to an energy-based
entity. The entire fleet of the Marauders was mutated to an unknown form and teleported to a distant
Dark Galaxy by the artifact, as well.
Having lost their leadership and main fleet, the Marauders soon lost the war. The new Terran
race soon enslaved the Marauders during the Expansion Period of the Terran race, taking advantage
of the situation. However, the Marauders, being an aggressive race, refused to be enslaved and
aunched a rebellion. They were crushed by the Terran fleets and forced to flee.
Marauders now live off the Terran by pillaging and plundering their colonies. Marauders are also
known to be always on the move, keeping their colonies small in size, as not to attract unwanted
attention.
Special Ability
Ships have very low upkeep

Dark Marauder
Eons ago the Guardian and Marauder Races were in constant war, which almost brought about the total
genocide of these two alien races. After hundreds of years of war, the Marauders were winning the war
by almost conquering the galaxy, leaving the Guardians to only a handful of colonies. As the main

Viral 106
Viral 106 is a virus that has evolved from the time of the Kal-Zul, through the years they have taken
many hosts as victims, infecting environments of other races and using them to learn their technologies.
It is speculated on how much technology of theirs is actually their own, because not many have survived
from the Kal-Zul era, but most think they have a few technologies of their own.
The Viral 106 race is much hated throughout the galaxy, and is in war constantly. The Warlords of their
race are united and stand strong, however they are getting weaker due to less hosts in the galaxy from
all the wars. Although no races have declared an all out war on the Viral 106 race, many have taken over
undefended planets and are moving closer to the heart of the empire, killing more Viral 106 hosts as they
go, further depleting the races resources. The Viral home world is heavily defended, however; and the races
may get to it and then automatically be infected by the virus.
The races weapons are advanced, and they specialize in chemical warfare. The ships of this race number few,
but are very useful when it comes to large scale attacks.
Special ability
Infect ships in battle
Infect colonies/planets
Reverse engineer any ships (Terran, Aspha Miner and Marauder, limited to 3 per race)
Empire Death
Bankcrupcy - When unable to repay debt
Dies when no colonies left
Collective
The Collective race is a half organic species, half robotic cyborg made aeons ago by an unknown race for
hostilities, and were probably used as servants to this races Overlords, but after the wars in which they
were made for they turned on their masters and annihilated them. During this war the Collective resorted
to stealing ships and assimilating planets to their wishes. They became really good at this and started
putting modules in their ships, allowing them to do this without difficulty. They plundered their smaller
planets for resources and used bigger planets for headquarters to this onslaught. Their ships are generally
offensive, being based on their old masters ships, some for hijacking enemy ships and some unmanned robotic
ships. The hijacking ships consist largely of big, heavily defended ships, that do not blow up ships, instead
they immobilize them for the Collectives army. The unmanned robotic ships are heavily armed, mostly defensive ships.
After the war on the unknown race, the Collective stole the empire, claiming it as theirs. They began building
an empire in the solitude of the Gamma Quadrant. There was little contact between them and other races, because
of the mysteries surrounding the Gamma Quadrant, few travel there, and even less stay. The race flourished for
millions of years without outside interference, until the High Council of the Collective race started sending
expeditions outside the Gamma Quadrant. Soon the Collectives planets would be running out of resources and
they needed a new haven. What they got was more then they bargained for.
They found a race that called themselves the Aspha Miners. This race was highly specialized in mineral extraction,
also huge defensive platforms and ships. They had many resources at their disposal, and could defend themselves
with the determination not even the Collective’s old masters had. The Collective tried to force an ultimatum on
them for planets, or the Aspha Miners should prepare for war. The Aspha Miners, being a proud race, declined
the offer. The Collective race began raids against Aspha Miner colonies, because of this, attacking some of the
Aspha Miners most prized planets. These acts did not go unobserved, however; the Aspha Miners were a highly
organized race, and noticed this instantaneously. They surrounded the planets that were invaded and forced the
Collective to leave. The Collective High Council did not approve of these threats and declared war, their main
fleet moving before the Orion star systems, finding a huge Aspha Miner defending fleet waiting. For the most
part the Collective were completely devastated. The Aspha Miners had major losses, but nothing as great as
Collective race. Of the Collective main fleet, 638 out of 5,573 were left, compared to the 3,000 or so Aspha Miner
losses.
The Aspha Miner race agreed to an alliance thereafter, giving the Collective space to move around in and maps
of the quadrants. It also provided Aspha Miners with an invaluable ally, unlocking the mysteries of the Gamma
Quadrant. These two races have been great allies since, their empires working together to create a deadly
alliance for anyone who opposes them.

Guardian

these two alien races. After hundreds of years of war, the Marauders were winning the war by almost conquering
the galaxy, leaving the Guardians to only a handful of colonies. As the main Marauder fleet, together with Bastille
(the center of command for the Marauders) approach, the Guardian race, out of desperation, used an untested Kal-Zul

Guardian race from an organic being to an energy-based entity. The entire fleet of the Marauders was mutated to an
unknown form and teleported to a distant Dark Galaxy by the artifact, as well.
After the war many Guardians were unable to cope with the mutation and longed to turn back in to an organic being.
The main government outlawed such experiments and a civil war broke out. The civil war finally ended after a great
loss for the entire Guardian race. Countless colonies and technologies were destroyed, as the race almost wiped
itself from existence. From then on the Guardians have made a solemn oath to protect the galaxy, and to ensure peace.
The Guardians, being composed of energy, do not consume food. They, however, excel in the field of energy research
producing one of the best energy shields in the known galaxy. This advantage makes most energy-based weapons ineffective
against them. Unable to attain the pleasures of consuming food, the Guardian race takes pleasure in collecting consumer
goods from other races.
